first of all, it's called a slappy, second of all, get out
[close]

1.) Stop calling them "slippys" and "slippy grinds." Don't even call them slappy grinds, just "slappys."
2.) Find a curb that has a slight incline on the sides. Parking blocks work well but if you don't press into the grind on them you can slip out and get worked, so a plain curb with a slight incline from the ground to the edge is the best. Better if it's painted red or white.
3.) Ride up at about a 30-40 degree angle, take your weight off while hit the curb, kind of like how you hop a little when you pop off of a sidewalk crack.
4.) Lock in and stand up on the grind like you would on coping.

Also, learn backside first before stepping up to frontside.

Now you have a whole world of variations opened up: slappy 5-0's, 180's out, etc.
ok thanks. lol I'm pretty sure they're called slippys though
