Nyjah's new DC shoe N2S

DC is really weird with their pro models, like they purposely release the shittiest colorways possible to start. They went Nike style with "shoe tech" and a $110 pricetag, this shoe must have spiritual purpose or something because it looks like turd. This shoe's ugliness was probably the reason Nyjah didn't win Tampa pro. I'm not too bummed on em actually, big improvement from Nyjahs first disaster of a shoe.



Anyone skated these?

It looks like DC went to the shoe graveyard and frankensteined together some Lakais with a little chunk of some supras and a dash of nike. 

If my foot vomited, and the puke crusted over into a protective almost sneaker-like layer, this is what it would look like.

His first one was just generic, but im sure it skated good. This one just looks like a flashy baked potato with too small lace proportions to the actual shoe proportions. I wouldn't ever think of wanting to skate this thing.

Yeah, price is too high. They kinda remember me the Project Ba's inch is good but that fucking web on the collar is awful. Bet they are comfy as fuck though...

Really? I was sort of half joking (I doubt I'd ever actually buy anything Nyjah), just seems weird cuz his parents brought him up vegan no?

this has been a consistent problem with a lot of their newer models. It's like as soon they were starting to get cool again, their design team just went straight to shit. Shoes like the MikeMo, Taylor, Centric, etc. were solid but nearly all of their newer designs coming out are just ugly as hell IMO.

I think what's suppose to significantly seperate this Nyjah shoe from other dc's is their new rubber formula. It's suppose to last way way longer than anything seen before.

One of only the things that seems bogus to me is that their bringing back the Mantecas (probably in response to the Accel re-release?), but didn't want to bring back the lynx when that's what everyone was obviously wanting more.

They brought back the Manteca? They were great. DC dunks basically.

These just look like Koston 1 type shoes to me.

I think DC have been making pretty good skate shoes of late and the materials they use last. I don't care too much about the logo placement etc.

I think I had the mantecas  2 years back, but really can't remember.
From what I hear people enjoy the Lynx S but everyone seemed bummed on the design carryover when they came out. The OG lynx is a pretty gnarly diff. compared to the modern fit of skate shoes, but why not reissue one of the slightly more popular models in their history instead of the manteca? Maybe it's too much of a risk or maybe it just defeats the purpose of newer designs? But even Es is trying modern takes on the accel (new "accel slim") as well as having the OG version out at the same time.

I completely agree.  And I understand the whole "wanting everybody to know what another person is wearing" of course, but when it compromises aesthetic integrity, they need to do what's going to LOOK best, because then people will ask each other "hey what shoe is that?"
