EDIT: I posted this before T-funks part was released. He should be in this poll for sure but can't add him now otherwise this poll is "rigged". Imho he is the perfect SOTY, his energy, trick and spot selection and creativity.

I liked Nyjah Nike part better than that Ty Evans part and Tyshawns’s hardies part better than his supreme part. I’m more of an east coast guy but I think that Nyjah part really pushed the envelope for what’s possible on a skateboard. I’m still curious as to why top tier skaters are still letting Fat Bill and Ty fuck up their footage. I’ll never watch either of those two parts again because of them.

That's fine everybody loves TJ, I'm a fan myself, but to act like he's some kind of revolutionary innovator is ridiculous.
I mean, I guess if pushing the limits of how high a halfcab heel can go off flat ground is super innovative then sure...I guess that's impactful.
And to say TJ has a bigger impact on skating than Nyjah is even more ridiculous.

tyshawn is great and the subway kickflip is fucked but theres other guys doing crazy shit with high pop, even if tyshawn can claim being the best at it. nobody is close to the jah's level of insanity.

Although Nyjah did a shit ton of insane NBD’s, I feel like the tricks he did may be more attainable to others than more of the tricks Tyshawn did.

Nyjah is skating rails, many others skaters skate rails, but I don’t think any other one skater can do all the tricks he did; but a handful of skaters or more, maybe.

I’ve never seen anyone skate over the top of NYC cans, with variation flip tricks in all stances nonetheless, so to me that stands out more as unique and “harder”. Neither can skate like the other though.

I like Tyshawn's skating way more but just give it to Jah one time. He should get it at least once.

Despite not being particularly enjoyable to watch most of the time, nyjah is pretty much the best skateboarder of his generation and i think he at least needs one SOTY award as a nod to that even if he isn't core. TJ is a great skateboarder too but his footage this year was not as good as Nyjah's and he's already had it once. Seems like a cocky dude. At least nyjah tries to be humble.

Tfunk felt like a good contender earlier in the year and the part released today was sick as FUCK but the level of skating was definitely below Nyjah and TJ had more hammers overall. If tfunk had tried to do some more hammers on iconic spots like the china banks ollie he could have had it imo but the recent part seemed like mostly cutty SF spots instead of the well known ones.
