the longer you hold the smoke in, the higher you get.  if you could hold the smoke in for a couple of minutes, would it make you super high or would your lungs absorb all of the THC after a certain amount of seconds?

 the reason i ask is because i want to know if its a waste of weed to exhale right after inhaling. would quickly taking tons of hits out of a bong in a row be a waste, of would it get you higher than just holding the smoke in after you inhale?

Within I think 6-10 seconds, something like 95% of the THC is absorbed, so holding it any longer than that is just doing damage with no benefits as far as the high goes.
Those numbers aren't exact, but they're pretty close, I believe.

The only other thing I can think of is reinhaling what you're exhaling... big inhale, slight exhale, reinhale, exhale... stretch the pull a bit.
Not that I have any data to support that, as now it's more of a force of habit, but it just seems like I'm getting the most out of my drags.
