i'm quite the fan of this little guy. his tales of smoking dojsha in the back of churches are excellent
check out "The Unseen", best track in my opinion would be "Low Class Conspiracy"

I think no other producer can even get close to touching Madlib; he's on the next level.

I liked The Further Adventures of Lord Quas more than anything.

Oh, and Madlib did a side project called Soul Direction with an LP called The Funky Side of Life that's really good. I recommend it.

MadLib is definitely on some genius level. I was never into the Quasimoto thing but I fully respect Madlib for his originality. I'm a big fan of his old LootPack ryhmes and beats. Here's a gem. Skip past the intro to the 39 second mark.

the verdict is that Madlib was on psychedelic mushrooms the whole time while making that album and it was still amazing

Yes! Yes I do. Bluetorch also put me onto Peanut Butter Wolf when I was like, 12 or 13  in the form of a Kerry Getz feature. For a lame action sports show they had a good music editor.

logic skate videos always used quas shit back in the day, pretty much half of the unseen was used one way or another.

spelling b off of the jaylib advance (diff. tracks then released version "champion sound") is mad out there. madlib is so dope. spelling out a whole song, and it ends up being all about weed.

yup, i'll listen to yesterday's new quintet sometimes. the album, "stevie" is real good..i've been listening to only stones throw stuff for like the past 5 years straight, they have put out so much amazing music is ridiculous..

i get down with "the unseen", but i'll listen to madlib's beat konducta albums all day.

nah, both aren't coming out on cd til early january. but until then you can download both straight to mp3 from the stones throw website for like 8 bucks each. i'm guessing someone bought both then put on the torrent site, i heard they were both on piratebay.org after i had bought them so i'd check that for sure.

theres a trailer for inbloom and they use the "mhb's" instrumental from the unseen it made me so hyped to see that video. madlib is the king of obscure loops and chops
