That's it! I forgot about the bump though. I guess that Genovesi nollie heel is a bit more gnarly. Still amazing.

Is that Franzen s/s tre off flat? Kinda hard to tell from the image...

Reminded me of the opening kickflip from his BB3 part

If I remember correctly, there was also one of Toan Nguyen doing the same trick off another slight bump in a Shorty's ad in the early 2000's.

I was too fat to sit at those tables in middle school. My thighs didn't fit in there.  :( If i could go to a 20 year Middle School reunion i'd love to have the chance to sit with the cool kids once and for all. Awesome photo.

had it on my wall for some times, moved out and then some things that should not have been forgotten...were lost.
History became legend...legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years the picnic table switch tre passed out of all knowledge.
Until Chris posted it on his instagram last month.Really stoked to see i wasn't tripping all that time,i'll ask the dude for a scan, this is the hardest trick ever done over a table.

I would say no bump, because Franzen does indeed have switch pop like that. The bump Huf hits here at 0:28, Franzen switch backside 180'd the opposite way in an old Skateboarder:

Brian Hoard definitely murdered the tables back in the day - shame he fell off. And Toan Nguyen definitely nollie bs bigspin heelflipped one from flat in Shorty's ad.

I like this thread so far.

I really dig footage of people skating those benches. Does anyone know how tall they are?
[close]

Like up to your thigh. They're not as big as they seem.
[close]
They are very small, but looks to me he could be doing one about double the height. So sick.
[close]

There are like 5 different sizes ranging from knee to waist. The hardest thing about skating them isn't the height, but rather the width. You seriously have to haul ass to clear them. How anyone has done any straight (read: no varials/180s/etc) nollie or fakie tricks over them boggles my mind.

i got to skate some at school called temple in la. there not tables like in your grandmas backyard, but there not tiny either. the width was a surprise to me, almost clipped the second bench at first. they also grind amazing, it doesnt feel like prefab skatepark
