Thanks Matt! Nah, I hadn't seen this. It's funny that in attempting to recreate his work, they further illustrated how untouchable Hensley's style really was. He was the total package of rough/smooth/gnarly/punk/mod/innovative/stylish/powerful in his prime. So imitate-able, but impossible to carbon copy.
There have been a whole generation of skaters that rode on his nuts, and I am not ashamed to say I was one of them. I even made my own chain wallet with a dog's choke chain since those weren't around in Hawaii.
