I know everyone has to be wondering what the true cause of death was, to me the fact that it wasn't publicly announced raises questions. I feel like the fact it hasn't been put out there means it can't be anything natural or good for his reputation, but I think skaters deserve to know what happened. To me his status wouldn't really be affected by knowing the truth its just part of how Jake decided to live his life and from a reporters perspective I feel he would want his entire story known.

I always want to know why folk died, especially if they are too young to just die of old age. Part of it is probably just morbid curiosity but it is also a self interest thing. I'm 45 and when people not that much older than me croak it's a bit fucking scary, and hey, it might be helpful to know what it was.
I also think that trying to brush it under the carpet in the name of 'privacy' is a bit of a poor show. We should talk about death more often and more openly, and whether Jake died from drugs or suicide or just shitty luck, it should be OK to talk about it.
At this point I just want to give full Credit to Bens family and friends for being open about his suicide. It's not an easy thing to be open about, but that openness is to everyones benefit hopefully.

Enjoi announced Ben was suicide to help people reach out for help, Thrasher could announce Phelps death if it was drugs to help people stay away from drugs or go to rehab, surely his death would of been found by now, why is it such a big secret? I heard somewhere (probably somewhere on this site) that KOTR is not going to be on Viceland this year.
