At the end of the day blondey is going to be way more successful then many pros just like the revive guys. Blondey albeit i can’t stand the vapid model life shit in general, kid can skate with decent style. Like he can legitimately skateboard well and to say he’s not respectable comparable to these skate moss chicks and shit is unfair. Blondey is aight in my game, get rich and get laid my G, these boys just mad.
[close]

So many "pro's" with shit style and he gave up pro status to do his thing he will always be a rad skater nothing wrong with making money. Strange how peeps think being poor is equal to being morally good like if you have money you all of a sudden are evil. Like if somebody from the ghetto wins the lotto do they become evil? or if someone from beverly hills goes bankrupt and gets on welfare do they all of a sudden become good? Peeps logic is so simple and twisted round here.

Stop saying peeps. And yes money changes people for the worst a lot of the times. That's why when there's a rich humble dude it's impressive.
Rest in peace Dick Dale.

I like Blondey's skating. I don't care that he's a rich kid, skateboards and parts are wildly expensive in the UK/Europe. Whenever I see a European skater I automatically assume they come from at least some money.

Long time lurker here. No idea if this is relevant to anyone's sense of the kookery in question but I remember reading that Penny had a similar background, having gone to the (elite, expensive) Dragon School in Oxford.

But Penny's skill is so unfuckwithable, Thomas don't got it like that. Call it hypocrisy if you'd like, I feel good about it haha.

thom from oxford is nothing like that. maybe you could make a suciu comparison except tom just did the tricks he did, he put no thought into it. all soul or heart. suciu is contrived. but they're both smart kids.

is blondey an english eli? that's the best translation i can come up w/.

Who cares where Blondey is from, some amazing skaters come from wealthy backgrounds. Now, how he plays up basically a Chav lifestyle is a joke, along with his persona. I mean, Cory and Wes both came from extremely wealthy backgrounds, it doesn't belittle their skill on a board. Mad respect to people who overcame difficult backgrounds like Steve or a lot of the EMB crew, but not having to overcome poverty shouldn't be a stick to beat down certain skaters with.

I heard Javier Sarmiento comes from a really wealthy family as well, so with Wes and Sarmiento sk8mafia is pretty much a rich folks brand no?
but anyway, ive skated with blondey a bunch of times and he was definitely a nice guy and a pretty good skater.

from the Thrasher Interview Crusty By Nature

You weren’t born in Germany? I’m blowing it.
No, I was born in Tokyo and lived there for the first ten months of my life. Then we moved to San Diego. But actually the first month I was alive we flew to Santa Rosa to go to Grandma’s house for Christmas

What were your parents doing there?
My Dad got offered a job out there with the law firm he was working for. They had an exchange program where one of their employees from Japan would work in San Diego while my Dad basically switched places, you know. Working in Tokyo as a real estate lawyer.

super-wealthy parents usually equates to skate park kids with robotic styles

I think you would be hard-pressed to find someone who disliked wes' skating

Did he really say that he was vegan tho? Kate said "he's vegan" somewhat sarcastically, and he said that he didn't really take part in his family's traditions. Regardless he's young, and he's got a big ego.

Most of the kids I hear cited as growing up extremely wealthy aren't like that though. I mean, both Cory Kennedy and Wes are far from robotic. I'm pretty sure guys like Suciu and Bobby DeKeyzer grew up well off, and both kill it. And, I'm sure if you looked at skaters you think are robotic, they come from all sorts of backgrounds like Chris Cole who was raised by a single mom if I remember correctly.

Am I the only one who doesn't really fuck with Blondey's skating? He was basically the Sean Pablo of Palace, where he wasn't a bad skateboarder but he certainly got more attention for his aEsThEtiC than his skateboarding. Now that Blondey is out of the picture, they should really devote that vacant pro slot to Jamal Smith.
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

Whenever I see a European skater I automatically assume they come from at least some money.

Totally agree here in Europe when we see an american skater we automatically assume he's gonna say something really dumb because studying is expensive there...

Most Vegans are so annoying. Except Ed, he’s been missing out since the early 90’s, long before it was cool. But in 2019, it’s a lifestyle bro. If you gave   eating yummy animal parts, the world needs to know. Being a secret vegan is pointless and counterintuitive, cause if nobody else knows how hip and current you are, then what’s the point.

The strangest thing about all of this is Kate Moss doing a cooking show, her making you food is like having a bald barber cut your hair. Never trust a skinny cook.

As for Blondey, I dislike any clip of him in shorts.
Hey, hey, hey. Don't be mean. We don't have to be mean because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.
