Back when the Pandy first hit, I caught a bad case of panic buying & have been making my way out from beneath this sweet, sweet, stack of wood ever since.
This one’s been in the closet, on top of the stack, all gripped up & waiting for an excuse to be ridden.
Lucky day for both of us, I reckon.

•Scram 8.75 “squootball” (squared football?) 14.5 wb
•Franken-thunder 151 Team Editions
•F4 Coni 54/99s
•Some dusty, old Bones Swiss that have been going strong for 5(+) years without so much as a courtesy wipe
•Old-ass Roughneck hardware
•Jessup w/ razor & spray treatment
•All of my hopes & dreams
Shape looks killer.

It's on again. I put this deck away to continue riding it later. I'm not sure what was different here.

Old

Toa mystic advisor 8.25

Old old old ventures 5.6 because I'm putting the hangers I scored on ice till winter

lowering kit (best shit for ventures I think)

3ply riser.
I'm never going back to regular plastic risers. Dlxsf hit it out the park here. Best risers since no risers happened.

Frinkin 58mm f4 og classic

Um ceramic bones bearings.
I still haven't done cleaned my swizz because I'm lazy and my headache from banging my head is still around..

Um I'm going out rn to try and get a trick down something

Nice setup.
But my eyes are completely caught by this great Picture/ Painting/Tagging, piece of art!
Exactly my taste! ;)

Thanks I worked on that one for two years I think. I only worked on it when I was on L or Boomers

I was skating the Ti 144s for the past two years (on 8.25s), but I am trying to size up to (mostly) 8.38s. Big fan of the extra hangar space so far.

Unfortunately all I really have to skate is metal coping, so it's going to take a long time to break 'em in.

Im in the process of doing the exact same thing funnily enough. Also been on Thunder 148’s on 8.38’s and most recently 8.25 (14.25 wb). Would like to extend wb a little to widen stance/ feel less cramped and have that extra grind room. Those 92a blue bushings are supposed to be good too so ive heard.

Deathwish Foy 8.5 twin tail (pictured next to the same shape with other graphics)
Indy 149 Hollows (stock)
Spitfire Lil' Smokies 48mm
Swiss Six Balls
Miles
Diamond 7/8 Allen

I already had to retire the Foy Gator after just three weeks, felt like I set it up yesterday but it heavily disintegrated due to my bad skating (botched heelflips take a heavy toll). I haven't even board slid it, so I can at least use it as a wall hanger (or rather wall leaner).

Real Ishod 8.5 twin tail - which has roughly the same dimension as the Foy but the kicks are squarer (is that a word?), this is the Roman number I, I have a number IV on ice so it will be interesting to see how big of a difference it is.

Indy's won't extend it more than Thunders. You would want Ventures for that

I’m not sure why but ive got it in my head at the moment that if i put Thunders or ventures on say a 14.5 wb deck it will feel nose heavy or clunky (tried a couple times and to me it did but probably all mental). I assumed with the truck wb being slightly smaller on indys or others in the same lane, it would compensate for the decks longer wb. I dunno man, the madness is slowly gripping my shit haha

If only that was so easy, I live in Switzerland and have never come across a double sided slappable curb yet. And the only lacquered parking blocks I ever discovered got removed over night after I excessively slapped them on many Sundays. But I will not rest until I find an appropriate curb or parking block.

Damn man that sucks. Your best bet would be to buy a parking block from a hardware store and put it somewhere where it won't get messed with. If that's a possibility. Otherwise just be on the hunt for the perfect curb.

Its not light as its 18mm ply/ metal box section but because its only like 3 or 4 inches high its easy to carry. Fits along the floor in the back of a polo fine

Thats freakin cool! I keep thinking about making myself either a low box/manny pad (4-5 inch high) or a wood double sided “curb” since I cant find one. Just unsure how to keep it from tipping over.

Thats one thing with that block, it tends to skid around a bit if its not sat back against something. Board/lipslides are fine but anything else the fucker moves. Its never tipped though.
It also has two different angles which is a nice feature.
Im tempted to glue some very thin rubber pads to the ends to stop it sliding about.

I’ve got a Hockey John Fitzgerald coming, an 8.5 (31.9 long 14.25wb) which is the skinniest board & first popsicle I’ve ridden for a long while. With Hockeys steeper kicks what trucks would work best? I ride indys or aces usually. Looking at ace 44, maybe lows.

Lower truck would definitely help with ghost pop on those steep kicks. If you go Indy definitely do forged or mid. If you get Ace lows let us know what you think as I am curious about those myself.
