One of the younger homies said that the 1010's are the official old head shoe and as I'm a couple months away from 30, I'm embracing it haha.
[close]
did you swing for the old head colorway on purpose?
[close]

Haha not intentionally, just the only 13's my local had in stock.

Ace 55 Classics
Bones 56mm V6 X97a
Swiss 6
Pepper Galaxy Grip
Ace 1" Hollow Hardware/Shorty's lights nuts
Ace 1/8 riser
NB# 1010

Decided to try a longer WB (14.87 on this) after skating a bunch of Polar 9.0's (14.5 WB). The extra 3/8ths of WB plus 1/2" of overall length was frustrating at first after adjusting my foot placement I really like it. I'm 6'3 so I figured scaling up my setup to something longer would help me feel more balanced and it seems to be working out. The biggest change was going to the 1010's after skating half cabs for a year and a half. It's a little jarring switching from 2 different styles of shoe but the extra support and cushioning is nice and losing some board feel wasn't as dramatic as I anticipated. One of the younger homies said that the 1010's are the official old head shoe and as I'm a couple months away from 30, I'm embracing it haha.

mhmm gotta top view?

I like the shape, not too blunt and the nose and tail are fairly long (7.12/6.75). It's got a nice steep concave too.

this would be perfect with rictas

I think they’re great. I’ve got a set of 149 and 159. Really light, good turn, great grind. They don’t stand out in any specific way, just a solid truck.

Two set ups I’m thrilled to see.
The Jarvis rig because I was so sad to see that Swim Fitzgerald deck come to an end, and the Vagrant jobber because god damn, I missed your shit ass on these here bloards. Lovely as always to see you’re still on your Huffer BS.
Interesting to me how neither of these esteemed Gs are running “Big 4” trucks.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

I've seen so many setups with radial fulls and I'm still shocked every time. Insane how wide that wheel is even in 54mm. Bet they're amazing for crust.

Random question, why 人気のない instead of 人気がない? I get that they essentially mean the same thing, but my Japanese has gotten so rusty that I'm not sure if there's some other difference? Digging the graphic on that pink stain btw!

Damn, that's unfortunate!!

What about it was not good for you?

What number stamp was it on top? * or are you in EU so it is the new China wood DLX board?

Too many questions I guess, but what did you have before or what dimensions do you prefer?

I didnt pay attention to the numbers honestly.
I always rode the Eagle/oval/Team boards, 8,5 x 31.8 x 14,25
Those felt really nice, my Last two boards we're Hockey square shapes in 8.38, because my Shop did not have the dlx shape i looked for.
Now i just went for the 8,4 and i dont like how nose and tail is almost identical and how flat it is, espacialy coming from the Hockey Boards, it just feels wrong

I think it's their take on the Baker B16.
A shame it's so flat. I was thinking about picking up that board

Re the 8.4 shape - I have had a few and am familiar with it, but I get what you are saying about it.

If I am right, it is one of the new China made DLX boards there in Europe, which are flatter / more mellow in concave, compared to the usual BBS wood boards, as people have said in the other thread.

USA would still have the BBS made board of the same size, shape and grapihc.
I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.
