dame = miles silvas
luka = suciu
Embiid = Nick Merlino
Brad Beal = Louie Lopez
zion = jamie foy
manu = jarne
Russ = Tyshawn
Shawn Marion = Roger Mancha
JaVale McGee = Zach Allen
Dellavedova = Micky Papa

These are good. I’d have Lonzo as Miles. The skills don’t quite match up but both seem like they love Drake equally as much.

I was thinking Forrest as Kawhi
Also, maybe Hosoi as Byrd just because Tony is MJ.

Hjalte = Nikola Jokic
AVE = Vince Carter
Versace Plug = Trae Young
Marc Johnson = Stephon Marbury
Ishod = LeBron Fuckin' James
Fred Gall = Dennis Rodman
Mark Suciu = Steph Curry
Miles Silvas = Kevin Durant
PJ Ladd = Kyrie Irving
Dennis Busenitz = Tim Duncan
Mark Appleyard = Ray Allen
Chris Cole = James Harden
Jim Thiebaud = Pop
Ricky Oyola = Kevin Garnett

Bobby Puleo = Kyrie because of the flat earth thing

Antwaun = Rodman. They both have gregarious personalities but need some coddling to keep from going crazy.

James Hardy = Derrick Rose. Tons of talent at a young age that was thrown off course due to a knee injury.

Andrew Reynolds = Kareem. Tall, lanky dudes that both have a strong case at GOAT status. Played forever, went bald, and had signature moves. Kareem’s sky hook= Reynolds FS flip.

Koston = Kobe (if Koston were responding to this thread).

what is with those Nyjah and Steph comparisons?

Steph is a family man whose lifestyle is way less ostentatious than other dudes at his level.

the Nyjah as Harden call was perfect though.

on paper both are technically achieving at the highest / most efficient rate possible, but they make true heads cringe since their whole approach seems antithetical to showing true passion or respect for the art form.

Come on Ishod is Dennis Rodman.

But in all seriousness stop disrespecting the man comparing him to Lebron.

But in all seriousness stop disrespecting the man comparing him to Lebron.

They're both consistent, highly-productive, well-rounded guys with peers that are better scorers/more tech/flashier/gnarlier. Although Ishod appeals to purists more and is more aesthetically pleasing to watch

Tony Hawk - Larry Bird: The OG goat. All the greats look up to him. Both last names are avian. Best of his time (mid/late 80s)

Reynolds/Koston - tied for MJ: Best and most popular of their time. Most succesful signature footwear lines. (late 90s)

P.Rod - Kobe: Protoge of Koston, best of his time (mid 2000s)

Nyjah - Lebron: Arguably the best of our time if you want to factor contests and pure consistancy. But he doesnt have the style or grace that the OG greats have. An insanely good skater, but no one really cares because he is a pure machine.

I’m with the comparison. Less about direct comparison for me (Nyjah and Harden both party and don’t really care to fit in with the current norms, I get that) but more high level.

Transcendent talent that brought the activity to a different level but is generally free of interesting personality and image feels extremely manufactured. Also activity is so easy for him that it’s not really exciting to watch anymore.

Nyjah = Steph

Derrick Rose-Anyone who came in had a great first part, got injured and struggled to put out anything better.

I get strong Rodman vibes from D-Loy’s hair but I’m not gonna slander Rodman’s name and compare anything but hair.

I’m gonna break the rules and say .....
