You are to understand 2 things:

1) The right often tries to define their flag waving, guns, and international murder as the only way of being patriotic, which is not true. There are other ways of being patriotic one's country.

2) Pat Tillman is touted as a "patriotic" hero, but the truth of his biography is lied about by the right in order to fit their definition of "patriotism." They even lied to his family about his death because the true story isn't "patriotic" in the right way. Tillman turned against the war, he was a huge Chomsky fan, and was killed by friendly fire.

On the other side, you have Jamie Thomas in IG comments on Zero BLM posts pushing back on all racist responses. Could have done it with the Zero account, but chose to use his personal.
