Damn, total bummer. I remember when I was 14 they came to our local skatepark before the brand had been announced in mags and they were all wearing Panda gear. Louie gave me a tweed cycling cap that had a small Panda on the back. Unfortunately my grandmother "lost it" a few years later. The brand has been in a sad state for a while, but weird to see it completely done for.

Idk, I think it's like anything else... if you can find ways to stay true to your core but push into new territory then by all means, keep at it, but if you're limited to your original concept and become beholden to an outdated vibe then yeah, hang up the towel.

I always think of people like Martin Scorsese and Nick Cave who are authentically themselves but aren't limited to genre and continue to push themselves into new territory and try to apply that to everything

Damn.... my first ever real deck was a Louie enjoi board. It was a 8.25 with the panda and a martini and was mostly purple with purple stained wood underneath. Honestly one of my biggest regrets is not keeping that thing around. My first favorite skate part was Jerry in Bag of Suck too. I remember being so stoked that he was another Chinese dude who skated and didn't do the shit his parents wanted him to do. I was so stoked on that shit that I screenprinted myself a panda logo tee in one of my middle school classes. I could literally pick anything to screenprint and I did a fucking panda logo.

Anyways that's a long way to say that enjoi holds a special place in my heart and that I'll miss them a lot.
