it's like a lifestyle dude. like, you know theres no rules and stuff, ya know? like, you don't have anyone telling you what to do, ya know? like you can just get on a board and like just go where ever you want, right? like you can just like express yourself however you want dude. like it's all about freedom man. like.
This armor plating is going to get a little more diesel.

i guess you could breakdown skateboarding as a science.
i mean when we skate and hit a pebble and fall down (or is that just me) we are following Newtons first Law: all in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an unbalnced force
unbalanced forces in the equation
A- pebble
B-gravity
but still i dont agree

Controversy.

i would definatly not say its an art. the perception, filming, editing, and production of it is definatly an art though. skateboarding itself though i would have to say is more of lifestyle than a sport, acivity, or pastime. i honestly think that even things that have nothing to do with skating like my views on girls, religion, money, and music are the way they are because of skateboarding. and this can never be proven but i definatly think were more into skating than most people are into what they love. like you never hear anyone say "man this song makes me wanna bowl so bad". or people dont sit down and have +1000 posts about sewing.

I take skateboarding like if you smoke cigarettes or not. its either you skate or not. Anyone can start up smoking cigs, same as starting up skateboarding.

to quote PJ, "It is what you make of it." its a way to meet people, express yourself, something to do when youre bored, something to do with your life, a way to have fun, or a way to get to the store. its all skateboarding

Skateboarding is subjective... you can make it a sport if that's your thing, it's an art if you're like that, it's an obsession if you're a kook like all of us that spend every minute talking about skating when we're not actually rolling, or it could be any or none of those things.
