SLAP has now adopted this pseudo-political mentality where you can't say certain things, and anytime someone calls you out on something you just repeate your go-to line.

Haha yeah well any publicity is good publicity. I mean Shecklers love/hate ratio is astronomical and hes selling boards. I think its because if people show intense dislike for him and his skateboarding other people will defend him and "back" him even more. Or mabey I'm way off.

I sort of have a feeling that none of the people involved in the making of Fully Flared ever wanted to 'change skateboarding', there's a huge irony in that they started to feel major pressure to push the limit, and that a fair chunk if not most of that pressure came from what was being said on the slap message boards. Maybe if there was average or mediocre hype about it on here, there would be more night NYC footage from popps and less slo-mo everywhere else.

But, who am I kidding, its Lakai. I hope the hype about crailtap on here is fading with those guys, because they're in for the same shit with the upcoming chocolate video.

I think you misunderstand, I'm agreeing with you here. This whole "trying to change skateboarding" crap was made up by kids on the internet hyping the video way out of proportion. And now it's like something people used to defend mediocre skating.
