I’ve been waiting for these to show up in US shops too. I think they got caught in COVID delays so no one’s gotten them yet. I also think someone mentioned seeing them in Vans stores, so if there’s one near you it’d be worth checking there.

The wrap around toe cap from the gamma
The tongue from the swift

Seems to be pretty common with the core brands and is absolutely some team Jordans shit.

I agree those look a lot like 2s, but I like 2s, and these look decent, to me.
That being said, I’m aware of how many times a core brand has gotten my attention with a nice looking shoe, in pictures, only to be horribly disappointed once the actual production model comes out. (Gamma being a recent example).
And yes, like above mentioned: fix the accels. The last several years of dunk craze and you have the accel and can’t get it right. Same with lakai and the Telford. Wtf is going on with these soles? Jesus.

Out of all the eS reissues released these actually peak my interest. I like how it's a pretty simple design and not a ton going on with the toe or side panels. Also a mid is a nice feature instead of some low cut profile like a lot of newer shoes. Reminds me of the emerica gamma but a mid top version and a bit beefier. You guys literally just hate everything and it doesn't need to be like that.

I think it’s the soles people don’t like . The accel og is like slightly too much of a brick and the slim is too thin is the consensus I’ve gotten here. Basically everyone wants the happy medium that the mid 2000s ones kinda were . Idk tho I’ve got a pre hiatus pair in the closet for nostalgia purposes and that things a fucking baked potato of a shoe

I think es did a good job with the stylus. I would skate those

Es used to feel so premium, to me. I remember the shoes feeling better than Nikes etc. That is no longer the case (maybe it never was).
Their old silhouettes, obviously borrowing liberally from Jordan’s etc, were dope tho. I wish they could spark some of that now.
Sadly, imo, they make really flimsy cupsoles, that vaguely look like an almost cool shoe. The soles/last, seem to be cheaper, and that causes the shape of the shoe to go wonky. Lakai also loves this move (see, Telford).
The minimal clean branding, solid colors, 90s era…it’s all right there for es. Coulda/shoulda been their time. Dc pulled this off a little bit, and I bought a few pairs, even tho I almost never wore dc back when they really doing their thing (I loved the dc super tour era, but …there was some great shoes, the Howard’s, I just wore es, axions, and superstars mainly). Anyways, my ‘point’, is dc made much more true to the era reissues, and made it a moment. Es is not coming thru with an actual decent shoe

Actually kinda like it, one of the few things that I don't love about it is that circle logo, seems a little too big for the shoe, or maybe I'd change it for a small éS traditional logo

I’m not a fan of that sole on it, but it looks better than I was expecting.

What’s that shoe they do with the different soles? Silo? They should do something like that.

Also, that tongue looks fucked. They should just throw the accel tongue on everything.
