99% sure that hartcopy is just paid placement. that being said, only other shoes I've seen laces like these on are hiking boots. they really are not very comfortable, I'm one of those guys who is always fidgeting when my laces feel off. A lowtop shoe with nine eyelets sounds like an absolute fucking nightmare. the solution is not more lace, but less. I get the feeling this was AI generated, because a resoleable skate shoe really doesn't make very much sense.
Hiking boots not being comfortable? You should get better ones then, cause the whole purpose of a hiking boot is to be comfortable during long hikes. The long af lacing is literally made like that so you can lace them tighter or loose in the toe area and have an even more customised fit at the toe area, avoiding blisters, have a better toe spread, etc…
Also you can tell this shoe was made to try a new look into skate shoes, a new aesthetic, not to be the best skate shoe ever. This reminds me the first time I saw the Gravis Rieder, that didn’t look like anything else in the skate landscape at the time and was daring/intriguing.
Edit: forgot to add the point about the re-solable part. Since this shoe is clearly taking the climbing shoe aesthetic with a skate point of view, one of the things about climbing shoes is that you can resole them with flat sheets of climbing rubber (sticky af compound). So my guess is that the foxing on this one can be replaced too if you want. It’s not that crazy of a concept.
