who who surprised you?
who got overlooked?
is there any decipherable system or theme in their selection process? 


im always happy to see daniel lutheran coverage,
odd to see marquise henry on there- dudes been paying his dues for far too long

Every soty issue thrasher puts out a list of ams who they think are going to blow up or something with pictures of them skating and blurbs about them. Some of them are obvious, some of them are kind of random and cool to see make it. I remember Neen back smithing the Oceanside hubba back when he had the little fro, way before the baker days, and being hyped he was on there.
Can anybody just write who they put on there?

Stoked to see Fritz Mead on it, he's been killin it for 1031 for a hot minute. Also Tom Remillard has always destroyed, just needs to get himself out there like Grant and Raven. Which brings me to my next point: Raven. Why Am list him? He's reputably one of the best transition skaters coming up, him, Grant, and Pedro being in a league all their own, so why not leave that spot for someone still trying to make a name for themselves? Raven, in my honest opinion, is pro without being pro. That's enough rambling for this post I suppose.

The magazine is only so big. They are missing a bunch of great am's (Donnelly, Cromer, torgerson, Lem, David Reyes) They probably ran out of page space.

Lem is boring as hell, you have to face that fact. Everybody else has.
And whoever thinks Clark Hassler must be going pro for not being on this list- did you ever think maybe he's just a 30 year old am who doesn't get much coverage, which would not necessarily be the best combination for somebody you expect to go big.

Why Jake Johnson doesn't have a pro model deck, shoe, wheel, and truck s beyond me.
